Backups
Effective Date 9/05/2014
The Backup policy gives you a clear understanding of how we perform backups, how often they are performed and how you may obtain them.
Regular backups of our servers are conducted on to a separate hard drive for disaster recovery purposes. Since the backups are scheduled and overwrite previous backups, we cannot guarantee the backup will contain the exact desired content for every customer. Upon request, we will provide complimentary copies of any backup content available.
At a mininum, we will perform and retain backups daily, weekly and monthly but in most cases will be more regularly than this.
Each type of server is assigned a backup schedule that can vary from other server types. Likewise, individual servers of the same type may be backed up on different days to help spread the load on our Data Center resources. A backup of a server will consist of a daily backup performed overnight. We will strive to retain the latest daily backup, a weekly backup and a monthly backup from the first day of the month.
HOST101 will use reasonable efforts to protect and backup data for clients on a regular basis, however, HOST101 does not guarantee the existence, accuracy, or regularity of its backup services. We encourage our customers to regularly backup their content locally on a regular basis and before any major changes.
You agree and understand that any back-up which HOST101 may carry out may not include any media files. These include (but are not limited to) mp3, mpeg, wmv or any other video/audio files.
HOST101 is not liable for any loss of data resulting from delays outside of our control, missed or non-deliveries, service interruptions, mass disasters, acts of god or by errors or omissions of the customer.
Backups will still be performed for accounts which are suspended.
